Cross Country

Cross country running may hold bad memories of cold, wet school playing fields for some, but it is a great way to enjoy running without pounding the pavements or the track and much less gimicky than these new 'muddy' challenges with barbed wire and ice baths. You don't have to be Mo Farrah to join in either. All abilities welcome, young and old. Spikes are handy especially after periods of heavy rain but some still wear trail shoes. Club colours must be worn and a number pinned to the front.

So, if you want to run in this years Manchester Area Cross Country League (MACCL) then please contact one of the following people (juniors should consult with their coach first to ensure it is appropriate for them):

PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE ARE NO ENTRIES ON THE DAY. IF YOU HAVE NOT ALREADY BEEN PRE-ENTERED AND INTEND TO RUN IN ONE OF THE RACES THEN YOU MUST NOTIFY ONE OF THE CLUB CONTACTS LISTED ABOVE AT LEAST ONE WEEK PRIOR TO THE RACE.

It is free for you to enter and race and you don't need to pre-select the exact races you want to run, just state your intention to run at least one of them during the season. The club is charged for pre-entries who do not end up running at least one race so please consider whether you will be able to run in at least one of the races.

For those who have entered in previous years then just let us know that you want to run; for those who are new to the club, we need your date of birth and EA competition license number (please ask if you are unsure what this iis).

Also, please remember to keep your number for the other races. You will be charged for replacement numbers for subsequent races.
