Get Involved

Every club values the support its members and others give. Indeed, Sale Harriers Manchester would not exist were it not for volunteers. Most of the club's indispensable managers, coaches and officials are athletes, ex-athletes or the parents of children and young members. In the summer track & field leagues, the contribution of volunteers adds valuable points to the teams overall performances. We never have enough volunteers to help manage groups on match days; train as coaches & officials; help marshal events and/or assist with the administration of a large club. If you can give some time to the support of your club on any level, it will be greatly appreciated.

Our Endurance/Road-Running Groups are available to our members at Crossford Bridge, Wythenshawe Park & Sportcity. At Crossford Bridge, the club provides training for runs from 3k to marathons across Road, Cross-Country and Fells.

Young Athletes

Our Young Athletes start in the Primary Section (6 - 11 years) with an emphasis on Track & Field in the Summer & distance running in the Winter. Athletes can then move onto our older age groups (12 to 17 years) & may choose to specialise & incorporate additional training sessions.

Track & Field

Sale Harriers provides full Track & Field training in every discipline. Most of this is based at Sportcity in East Manchester though some takes place at Crossford Bridge. Most of the T & F Middle Distance training and some Throws training take place at the Wythenshawe Park track.
