In the U13 boy’s events, THIERRY KERR was our star athlete, setting three new club records when winning the 75m, 150m and hurdles with the highest Level 9 performances. THEO SMITH, ISAAC WRIGLEY and JOSEPH RUSHTON also scored well in sprint events. Out middle distance squad of DAN TOPPING, LENNY ALVES, HENRY FRIEND, NOAH PHILLIPS, ARTHUR O’HARE and JOSHUA HOWELL were considerably faster than Match 1.

Congratulations are also due to Noah, Isaac, JUDE KERINS and FREDDIE HOOTON who were all runners-up in Field events.

In the U13 girls events BROOKE CARROLL-IVISON took part in four events including winning the hurdles with a Level 9 performance whilst HOLLY Mc HUGH won the B Hurdles event. ALESHA GUBAS was another Level 9 performer in finishing 2nd in the 800m whilst Primary aged LUCY O’BRIEN ran a PB to win the B event. Our other winners were GRACE BROOMES, LUCY DOYLE and FLORENCE CONNOLLY whilst EVE DOWLING and CICELY COLDWELL scored well over 1200m.

In the U5 boys, DANIEL OWOSINI took part in four events winning the long jump and finishing runner-up in the other three. DAN OAKES also competed in the maximum four events including an 800m PB and, with OLIVER HOWELL, GEORGE HORSFALL and CONOR Mc MANUS outscored the other five clubs in the middle distance events. PATRICK WILEY again won the Pole Vault.

Our U15 girls were superb winning 12 events. The sprints squad were particularly impressive winning both relays and most of the sprint and hurdles races. Well done to EVA ANWYL, LOIS WORMALD, ZURIEL SARUMI, MADDY APPLEBY, AVA BROOMES and ROXY Mc HUGH who achieved Level 9 performances in two events. The middle distance squad were in dominant form and upheld our Harrier tradition with BEA SOPER winning the 1500m with a Level 9 performance and GRACE HILL next across the line to win the B race.

Our 800m runners also did us proud with ROBYN HEYWOOD-YOUNG, LOLA RICHARDSON, ILSA ANDERSON and ISABELLE CONNOLLY showing the impressive depth we have in the club. ANGEL AMADIN was our most successful thrower taking part in the maximum three events including a win in the discus.

Sale won the match by 80 points. Our overall standard was higher than Match 1 as we equalled or bettered our performance in 59 of the 90 events.

As ever a big thanks to CARL WORTHINGTON without whose team management, this success would not have happened.
