It is with deep sadness that we report that former Sale Harrier, David Bailey recently passed away very suddenly aged 73 years. He was an active member up to about 10/12 years ago (after which he took up cycling) but kept in contact with a number of his former colleagues. He attended two of last summer's Sizzler 5k's and met up with many of his former club colleagues. He was well liked in the club and will be remembered for his great sense of humour.

His funeral took place on Thursday November 9th at Altrincham Crematorium at 11am and afterwards guests were invited to join his family at Bramley Farm, Sinderland Road. This was well attended and showed us what a fine gentleman David was. He had an interesting life and was well liked by all who knew him.
