Sale Harriers Manchester

Welcome to Sale Harriers Manchester

Sale Harriers Manchester welcomes all abilities and every age group and discipline. We're a large club based at three sites - Crossford Bridge (Sale), Wythenshawe Park and the Sportcity (next to Manchester City's ground).

If you're interested in joining or have a general enquiry, begin with the Contacts section. Those listed there are your first points of contact who'll take your basic details, provide you with whatever initial information you need and then they'll put you in contact with the most appropriate coach, team manager or club official who'll take it from there.

Endurance

Our Endurance/Road-Running Groups are available to our members at Crossford Bridge, Wythenshawe Park & Sportcity. At Crossford Bridge, the club provides training for runs from 3k to marathons across Road, Cross-Country & Fells.

Young Athletes

Our Young Athletes start in the Primary Section (6 - 11 years) with an emphasis on Track & Field in the Summer & distance running in the Winter. Athletes can then move onto our older age groups (12 - 17 years) & may choose to specialise & incorporate additional training sessions.

Track & Field

Sale Harriers provides full Track & Field training in every discipline. Most of this is based at Sportcity in East Manchester though some takes place at Crossford Bridge. Most of the T & F Middle Distance training & some Throws training take place at the Wythenshawe Park track.

Coronavirus Update

Please be aware that all training facilities used by Sale will be closed for training until the latest restrictions are relaxed, and there should be no training in groups unless the guidelines are changed. Just to remind people this is a lockdown, people may have been under the impression that you could carry on outside of the sites used. This is not the case, you can train with members of your own household or with a single member of another household. No groups. We will be back soon but at the moment we must follow the rules. Stay safe.
